CAIRO, Feb 13 (KUNA) -- General Command of the Armed Forces announced Tuesday it has killed 10 'terrorist' militants, during fire exchange in Al-Areesh carried out in the framework of the Comprehensive military Operation, Sinai 2018.
Armed Forces arrested 400 militants and suspects of various nationalities and took over a large amounts of weapons and ammunitions, the Command said in a statement.
It added that armed forces destroyed seven vehicals used by terrorists while trying to espace the raids.
The forces also destroyed 143 wearhouses in which they found ammunitions, spare parts and narcotic substances, in addition to 79 land mines planted in operation scene.
During the raids, trenches containing anti tank mines, cars and motorbikes used by militants were confiscated.
Operation Sinai 2018 started last Friday by Egyptian armed forces in cooperation with the ministry of Interior of northern and mid of Sinai, supported by Air force and heavy artillery.(end)
